These Terms and Conditions govern your access to the official website and mobile application in Sri Lanka. By creating an account or placing a bet, you accept these rules and the policies referenced here. Local laws apply in addition to this contract, and use is allowed only where betting is legal. You are responsible for confirming that your use complies with Sri Lankan law and any applicable foreign regulations.

Contract, eligibility, and proper use of Melbet services

  • Acceptance of terms
    • By completing registration and using the services, you agree to these Terms and any product rules, privacy, AML, and bonus policies referenced here.

  • Eligibility and territory

  • Changes to Terms

    • Material changes will be posted on the site or app. Continued use after changes signifies acceptance.
  • Lawful and fair use
    • You must not use bots, scripts, or any device to gain an unfair advantage.
    • Collusion, syndicate betting that breaches event integrity, arbitrage abuse, or manipulating odds is prohibited.
    • Misuse of bonuses or promotions, including matched-bet abuse, may result in voided bets and account action.
  • Intellectual property
    • Site content, odds displays, software, logos, and data feeds are protected by intellectual property laws.
    • You may use the content for personal, non-commercial purposes related to your account only.
  • Liability limits
    • Services are provided on an as-available basis; outages or delays may occur.
    • We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
    • Maximum liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount of the relevant bet, or the balance in your account when the issue occurred, whichever is lower.
    • Nothing limits statutory rights under Sri Lankan law that cannot be limited by contract.
  • Governing law and disputes
    • These Terms are construed in line with applicable laws, including Sri Lankan consumer and betting-related legislation, where relevant.
    • Disputes should be raised via support; unresolved disputes may be escalated to an independent ADR service if available or to competent courts.

General rules for bets, odds, and settlement

  • Who may place bets
    • Only verified account holders aged 18+ may place bets.
    • Bets for or on behalf of third parties are not allowed.
    • Professional participants in an event and persons with inside information must not bet on that event.
  • Bet acceptance and confirmation
    • A bet is accepted once it appears in your betting history with a unique reference and the stake is deducted.
    • If a technical error prevents confirmation, the bet is void.
    • We may refuse or limit any bet to manage risk or comply with legal obligations.
  • Minimum and maximum stakes
    • Minimum stake and maximum payout depend on the market and will be shown during placement.
    • We may set per-bet, per-market, per-event, or daily limits.

  • Odds and price changes
    • Odds are those displayed at the time your bet is accepted.
    • If an odds or line error (palpable error) occurs, we may void the bet or settle at the correct odds.
  • Event status and results
    • Settlement is based on official results from the event organizer or the relevant federation.
    • Post-event corrections do not change settlement unless our market rules specify otherwise.
    • If an event is postponed or abandoned, settlement follows the market rules for that sport and market type.
  • Cancellations and voids
    • Bets placed after an event outcome is known are void.
    • If a market is offered in error or an event is listed incorrectly, we may void affected bets.
    • In multi-selection bets, a void leg is settled at odds of 1.00 and the rest stands.
  • Dead heats and handicaps
    • Dead heat rules apply where applicable; stakes and winnings are proportionally divided among tied selections.
    • Handicap and totals markets settle based on the adjusted score or line as defined in market rules.
  • In-play betting
    • In-play markets may have delays for risk control.
    • Displayed score or clock is for guidance only; settlement relies on official data.
    • Bets pending during a material incident may be rejected or repriced.
  • Restrictions
    • Account-level bet limits, market suspensions, and exclusions may apply for integrity, AML, or responsible gambling reasons.
    • Bonus abuse and hedging across accounts can result in stake confiscation and account measures.
  • Cash out
    • Cash out availability, price, and success are not guaranteed.
    • If a cash out request is successful, the bet is settled immediately at the offered amount.
  • Taxes and levies
    • You are responsible for any personal tax or levy arising from winnings under Sri Lankan law.

Payments, deposits, withdrawals, and fees

  • Funding your account
    • Supported methods may include bank cards, bank transfer, e-wallets, and mobile payments where available in Sri Lanka.
    • Method availability depends on your location and verification status.
